Making solar visible and engaging
Spotlight Solar makes great looking solar energy structures. These novel solar “trees” and shelters complement other sustainability measures that are out of view, showing advocacy for environmental stewardship where many people can see it. By making solar more visible and engaging, Spotlight Solar accelerates the adoption of solar energy.
People love solar technology, but since it accounts for only 4% of our electrical generation and hides on flat rooftops, we rarely see it. It needs visibility in order for purchase consideration to increase. A study from Yale shows that visibility is a highly important factor accelerating adoption of solar. So, we're bringing solar out in the open, and doing it in a beautiful way.
And when our clients make their energy stewardship more visible, it increases their return on investments in solar energy and green building, by earning preference among their customers, tenants, and employees. That “return on visibility” increases funds available to invest in more clean energy.
We're up to something good
1) Helping property owners show environmental care
2) Creating dignifying work
3) Increasing adoption of clean energy
Spotlight's pioneering work has made solar more visible to hundreds of millions of people.
Spotlight was one of the first certified B corporations in North Carolina. This means we've applied stringent, audited standards for positive impact business spanning transparency, employee and community care, and environment. We’re using business as a force for good.
