Open Position — Business Development Manager, West
The primary purpose of the Business Development Manager is to grow revenue. This comes through building mutually beneficial relationships with solar integrators and clients in commercial and public sectors.
Who we’re looking for
Sales chops and discipline. We’re looking for five+ years in a channel and/or client facing role, applying a structured approach. You’ll energize and aid channel partners who offer our product as a complement to their larger solar projects. You’ll motivate clients with the brand value of visible, beautiful solar. This is a c-level sell, so we need people who can work that room.
People who get us. Solar is a commoditized, price driven industry… while we offer a premium, sculptural clean energy machine that primarily delivers a marketing benefit. It’s different, so we need team members who think differently, and who can help clients get it too.
Solar people… or not. If you’ve ridden the solar coaster, great! Or if you know architectural products, that will work.
Californians. It’s the biggest solar market, so you should probably live there and love it. We’d like you to handle CA and contiguous states. Spotlight’s corporate mega-campus is in NC, so y’all come see us some time.
Do-gooders. Spotlight Solar is a Certified B Corporation, using business as a force for good. We want beneficial people.
